Why should I consider you?

I have been HSC Marking for Physics since 2014.

I have been teaching HSC Physics since 2007 & HSC Chemistry since 2013.

I completed my B.Sc (Nanotechnology) in 2005 at the top of my cohort with a WAM of 83.

I have subsequently completed postgraduate studies in Education, Business and Economics.

I have been tutoring since 2003 and have much experience teaching high achieving students and helping these students maximise their marks in HSC Physics.

How much experience do you have?

For HSC 2017:

Classes will be run from an office in Parramatta. 

 

They will be single digit class sizes.   

 

My services are targeted at students who are aiming for a mark of 85+ in HSC Physics. Classes are generally very competitive. My classes are not suited for students struggling in HSC Physics.

 

Classes run for 2 hours, during which time we recap, address issues with homework and work our way through prepared booklets, focusing on relevant theory, perfect approach to answering examination-style questions and essential skills.

  • For the 2013 HSC, I taught the student who came 7th in the state in HSC Physics. He achieved an Exam Mark of 99, with a raw mark of 98 (only losing 2 marks in multiple choice), his Exam Mark was the highest in the state.

  • My 2013 class at school achieved 6 band 6's (For a non-selective, public school ranked in the 300s, we achieved more Band 6s than several selective schools)

  • My 2014 tuition students include a student who has improved from 114th in Year 11 to 2nd in Year 12 and another students who has improved from 44th in Year 11 to 5th in Year 12.

  • My 2015 tuition students include a student who achieved a perfect 99.95 ATAR and all students showed significant growth from their preliminary achievements.

 

What are some of your recent achievements?

I am not offering Preliminary Physics or Chemistry tuition in 2016.

 

In 2017, I will be offering Preliminary Physics and Preliminary Chemistry tuition from my office in Parramatta.

Do you offer tuition for Prelim or Chemistry?

I do not run like a traditional tutoring centre.

  • The pace at which we progress is determined by the needs of the class, so I do not RUSH to ensure that we finish x amount of pages each lesson

  • I teach from the 'ground up', my classes are not meant to 'fill in the gaps'.

  • From the very beginning, I insist on perfection in your answers, ensuring that you 'tick all of the boxes' so that you can maximise your marks in assessments and examinations.

  • I actually mark your homework and provide feedback. I don't just give out exemplar responses and expect you to understand why your response did not get full marks

  • My classes cost less than half of the cost of some tuition centres
